Elle Engel spent her childhood in central Illinois maxing out her mother’s library card and her teen years watching horror movie marathons during school nights. She currently lives in Chicago, where she’s in the midst of writing more novels in the horror and speculative genres. Her short fiction has been published in Strange Horizons. Her debut novel will release in February 2027.
